These two bedrooms in Brough had simple pine boards that were in pretty good condition overall. Our Client was considering having laminate fitted, but also contacted Timberwolf for another option to sand the existing boards instead. She was delighted to find that the price for sanding and oiling both rooms came to a lot less than the other company’s price for supplying and fitting laminate. The sanding was carried out in less than one day, again all the mess was contained within the extraction units connected to all our equipment. Sanding existing pine boards can provide aesthetically pleasing results, with a huge choice of staining & finish options available, for considerably less than the cost of installing a new hardwood floor. We would always encourage anyone with original pine floor boards to consider the option of sanding, particularly in bedrooms, studies or any room that does not receive heavy wear. Pine boards will not give the durability of Oak, but if treated with care (Proper door mats and or shoes off, regularly vacuuming and cleaning etc.) There is no reason why such floors should not stay looking great for many years.
