The committee responsible for the upkeep at Nafferton Hall, had secured some Lottery funding for much needed improvement works. One of the priorities was to renovate the main hall flooring. This much loved Hall and consequently very busy multi-use floor was badly in need of attention, over the years being maintained by volunteers and friends of the Hall. It had been sanded a number of times, all with the best intentions, however the results were a little less than perfect. This is the type of renovation we come across day after day, carried out by inferior hired drum sanding machines, operated by diy enthusiasts. We spent 2 full days (with 2 big machines running pretty much the whole time) sanding this floor, most of the time spent taking out trenches carved into the floor by previous sanding attempts. Normally this sort of area would be sanded clean within half that time. Never the less, we managed to get really good results, a smooth flat finish was achieved. We then set about re-instating the court markings. Timberwolf can carry out all court marking requirements, from a simple single badminton court, to full multi use courts. The floor was coated with primer, then 3 further coats of heavy duty 2-part water based lacquer were applied, ensuring a durable and long lasting finish. The committee were very happy with the results, in particular that we kept to the original time scale of completion within 3 days (despite taking far longer to sand). |
